Hi all,

Due to the death of a very close family member, I've decided to suspend all further development of the games I've got on the go at the moment for the foreseeable future.

The site will of course remain here intact with the games available for download, and I will most definitely be answering any emails I receive. However I have a serious distraction in my personal life that is preventing me from concentrating on remaking.

As I am sure you will all agree, family is much more important.

Enjoy the games, feel free to email me or leave any comments, and hopefully normal service will resume someday.

Trans Am 2000:
Category: Game News
Trans Am 2000 has been overhauled slightly.

A few of you may have noticed that it doesn't like Windows Vista (I share its sentiments), and tends to fall over and crash when its run under Microsofts latest piece of crap OS.

So, I figured it's time to give the game a bit of an overhaul!

The game now runs in a window, with an option for full-screen, and has a few other tweaks.

For example, it now runs properly under Windows Vista :-/

Also, the keys have been changed to the arrow keys, which are a little easier to use than the Z,X,P and L arrangement from the original Speccy version!

Enjoy! Big Grin

Almost done..:
Category: Game News
Just waiting for the rest of the sprites now, and need to add a bit of music to the game.

The traffic problems were solved by the mighty Scottige (check out his Auld Games site on the links page) so much thanks and kudos to him!

Due to the recent weather here in the UK, I'm a bit sick of snow...

And more Horace...:
Category: Game News
Things are going very well!

Horace can now run back and forth across the road, buy ski's, run back across the road again, go to the slalom, ski away to his hearts content.......hit trees.......die...........three chances and the ski's are broken....

No traffic yet though....for some reason I'm leaving that 'til last....it must be because i'm REALLY looking forward to putting in those routines...Confused

Oh, and nearly all of the graphics are done! Big Grin

Horace progresses...:
Category: Game News
Ok, the road part is working sans traffic (I'll worry about that later).

Horace now runs across the road, buys his skis, then runs back again, and I've got the basic movement of the slalom working. Horace still disappears out the side of the screen though instead of bouncing so I must fix that!

Screenshot of the "Road Section" on the WIP page! Nothing too exciting, but it gives you an idea of what to expect so far.

Horace Goes Remaking!:
Category: Game News
Wow, two news posts in as many days!...I'd better slow down!

Ok, I've been tinkering...and I've decided to have a go at another game just to see if I'm still able to remake games!

Something nice and simple. "Horace Goes Skiing" is now officially a WIP, and is progressing nicely!

Nothing much to report as such, but Horace runs around the screen happily, and back and forth across a traffic-free road! Big Grin

And on to 2009...:

Well, belated Happy New Year to all who visit this site and hope it's not dead yet!

Work on Batty has resumed as of today - I've started level building! Yay!! As anyone who know's me will tell you, building levels block by block is always my most hated part of making a game, but all is well so far.

MOST of the bonuses and powerups are in place, as are the graphics, but there's still a way to go!

Anyway, currently I've done five levels...only another ten to go...oh joy! Keke

Yay! More news!:
Category: Game News
Batty is still in-progress. Most of the graphics are done, as is the game code. I still don't know when it will be finished, but watch this space!

And by "Watch this space" I really mean "When I stop being lazy, I'll post some more news!" Big Grin

Useless Info...:
Category: Game News
I've got some time off work this week, so I've had time to tinker around with MMF2 for a while. In a morning, I've managed to throw together a VERY basic "Scuba Dive" engine! I'm not sure if it'll develop into a WIP as it was just an experiment, but it works! The boat even speeds up and slows down! (You won't understand what i mean unless you've played the original game).
Still, it's nice to know that my remaking arm still kinda/sorta works after all this time. Not sure what to do with this now as I think there's a couple of Scuba Dive remakes already in progress...still, we'll see! Big Grin

Going Batty (again!):
Category: Game News
Work on "Batty" has resumed. I have no idea how long this will take...but I'm bored, and I got an email from a sprite artist who has been doing a rather fantastic job thus far!

If things continue to progress this well, I'll post up a new screenshot...maybe Wink

C3 Windows Vista fix:
Category: Game News
Yes, yes, I know....Cybernoid 3 runs like a bag of poo under Windows Vista, but I've uploaded a new version of the .ZIP file now, with a batch file added especially to make it work for Vista users...of which I am now (unfortunately) one since it came with my new laptop! Just double click on the Vista Compatibility icon, and it'll work...honest!!

Thanks to the foruming folk at Retro Remakes for the solution!

CYBERNOID 3 RELEASED!!!:
Category: Game News
Finally!
After two years of stop/start development and various changes in the graphic artist/sprite department, Cybernoid 3 - Phoenix is finally finished! This will also mark the final game I develop using Multimedia Fusion, having upgraded to the fab and shiny Multimedia Fusion 2 developer!

Hopefully this is a fitting tribute the the original (and not to mention fantastic) Cybernoid games, but I guess you'll be the judge of that!

Click on the "GAMES" link on the left, and follow the link to the download page!

Sorry its taken so long, but hopefully you will all enjoy!! Big Grin

Work on C3 has resumed!!!

A mock-up screenshot is now available on the WIP page, and maybe....just MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYBE (ie: if I can be bothered) I might throw together a playable demo before the final game is released.

Depends on how much interest there is though...

Fixed!!:
Category: Site News
Ok!.....the site is now fixed, up, running and..well...working!

All the games links should now work properly, but please, PLEASE let me know if there's any problems!

Incidentally, has anyone noticed that upon completing Moley Christmas the game ends suddenly and abruptly?

Fear not!....I am working on the problem, and a new version will be uploaded soon!

Thanks for your patience, and enjoy the remakes!
